Experience one of the world’s most breathtaking mountain flights as you soar past the Himalayan giants. As you descend, enjoy aerial views of alpine forests, monasteries, and the serene Paro Valley. Catch glimpses of Paro Dzong and the Paro Chu river before landing. On arrival, meet our representative for a warm welcome and transfer to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Wake up in Bhutan’s quirky capital, where traffic lights are replaced by graceful traffic policemen and every corner offers a surprise. Begin with visits to the National Memorial Chorten, the Buddha Dordenma statue, and the Takin Zoo, home to Bhutan’s unique national animal. Enjoy a scenic stop at Trashichho Dzong before heading to the National Library and Folk Heritage Museum.
In the afternoon, stroll through the Handicraft Bazaar and Centenary Park. End your day with a leisurely walk from Clock Tower Square, soaking in local culture and shopping. Overnight in Thimphu.
Begin your scenic drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass (10,000 ft), Bhutan’s first mountain pass in the west. Stop at the iconic 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens, surrounded by fluttering prayer flags, perfect for a spiritual moment and stunning photos. On clear days, enjoy panoramic views of Himalayan peaks, including Gangkar Puensum, the world’s highest unclimbed mountain.
Drive down through Thinleygang Village to Lobesa and take a short village walk to Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple dedicated to the ‘Divine Madman,’ Drukpa Kinley. Hear intriguing legends and admire the vibrant artwork along the way.
Later, visit the grand Punakha Dzong at the confluence of Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers. Built in 1637, this historic fortress was once Bhutan’s capital and remains a symbol of spiritual and political significance. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Punakha.
After breakfast, drive back toward Thimphu, stopping at Lamperi to explore the Royal Botanical Park. Spend 30 minutes amidst lush greenery; spot red pandas, colorful birds, and capture photos near the serene natural lake. You can also watch a short documentary about the park’s biodiversity. Continue your journey via Semtokha and reach Paro. Check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Paro.
Start your day with a visit to Paro Dzong and the Ta Dzong, home to Bhutan’s National Museum, renowned for its impressive collection of natural and historical artifacts. Next, explore Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples, dating back to the 7th century.
In the afternoon, visit the hauntingly beautiful ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, a 17th-century fortress that once defended Bhutan from Tibetan invasions. Conclude the day at the base of the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery.
Evening at leisure; perfect for shopping or exploring Paro town.

Important Travel Information for Indian Nationals Visiting Bhutan
Indian citizens aged 18 and above must carry a valid Passport or Voter ID card. For those under 18, a Passport or Original Birth Certificate (with a legal guardian) is required.
Bhutan Entry Permit:
Indian nationals are eligible for a permit on arrival. However, if you’re flying into Paro Airport, digital copies of the required documents must be submitted at least 15 days before travel.
Documents Required:
A digital copy of your Passport or Voter ID (passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel date)
A recent digital passport-size photo

Essential Bhutan Travel Etiquette & Guidelines for Travelers
Photography:
Always ask permission before photographing people, events, or objects.
Photography is not allowed inside temples, monasteries, and dzongs, only permitted in courtyards.
Religious Artifacts & Antiques:
Do not touch or climb on any religious artifacts, antiques, or sacred items, even ruins.
Buying religious antiques is strictly prohibited.
Dress Code:
Remove hats before entering temples, dzongs, or monasteries.
Avoid wearing shorts or half-pants while visiting religious sites.
Communication Etiquette:
Keep your phone off or on silent inside religious areas.
Speak softly to maintain the serene atmosphere.
The Bhutanese Way:
Point using a flat, open hand, not a single finger.
Walk in a clockwise direction around religious monuments.
Use designated bins for trash.
Never touch murals, ritual items, clothes, books, or sacred objects.
No smoking or drinking at religious places.
When unsure, ask your guide or a local.
